Meet the Women: Afrika is a community that affirms the work young womxn leaders are engaged in across Africa to respond to our continents pressing challenges. Founded in 2015, we exist to inspire women to take action while nurturing their power. Our network of self-starters and impact makers are leading social change in different spaces and sectors including mental health, corporate, healthcare, education, gender equality, LGBTQI+ activism, business and more while leveraging the arts, business, media, political activism and other vehicles to make their impact. We curate masterclasses and experiences for female-founders, thinkers and all-round brave and bold African boss babes.

Inspiring Leadership

We facilitate platforms for young women who are advocates for transformed leadership; governance and social transformation to engage and co-create solutions for Africa's pressing challenges.

Igniting impact

We bring together women who lead initiatives that have a significant grassroots impact and are empowering communities. We curate collaborative spaces to empower women in our network to take their organizations to the next level, while taking care of themselves!

Creating Value

Through our business and entrepreneurship masterclasses, we expose young business women and early stage entrepreneurs to tools and strategies to grow their network and net-worth by partnering with local incubators and enterprise development programmes.

Sharing insights

We are determined to understand and share insights from our community. Our approach is to leverage digital tools to share the stories of emerging young African women leaders and gather insights from our lived experiences in order to advocate for gender equality.
